I really like the ending because I think it is and unexpected, happy romantic ending.

Finally, Eric was in front of  Christine and gives her a choice between his freedom and Raoul’s life, so she decides that Raoul should live. But Erik get very mad.

Raoul and the Persian manage to enter the house to rescue Christine. They end up fighting each other for Christine, the Persian falls wounded to the ground and when Erick is about to kill Raoul, Christine takes a knife and kills him from behind before doing anything bad to Raoul.
