WAR, the nonsense without winners
Opinion essay
“Governments around the world will reach an agreement and armed conflicts between countries will be over in the future." Do you agree?

It is widely known that governments are the true responsible for the wars and armed conflicts between countries. And I feel very strongly that, if we do not change as a society, we are not going to end with these conflicts. Furthermore, I completely disagree with the fact that some people believe that war is inevitable, that it is part of our history and it is something that is never going to change, because there are lots of reasons why it is urgently necessary to solve this problematic.
On the one hand, governments’ infinite ambition of power causes these confrontations, and the citizens are the ones who pay the consequences. It seems to me that governments do not care too much about our safety and wellness. It is just a matter of always needing to be better than others, having more territories, controlling a bigger quantity of population and at the end, having higher incomes.
On the other hand, even if the history mistakes could give us a lesson, political leaders seem to ignore it, and we stumble over the same rock again and again. Moreover, the consequences of war are always destruction, death and misery. These means little children losing their parents, families losing their homes… In a word, people losing happiness and everything they had.
In conclusion, it is clear that confrontations are always going to be present in our society because of human need of having more and more, sometimes even if it is pushing the others out of the way. However, I hope governments can understand that wars do not lead to richness but to extreme poverty and we can instead use this ambition to make humanity grow and be better day by day.
